Chlorine Dioxide is now NSF Approved for Bio-Safety Cabinet Decontamination

ESP can safely decontaminate any space from small hoods or incubators to entire buildings.  Per NSF code, biological hoods must be decontaminated before they are moved or disposed of, and whenever performing service in a contaminated plenum.

Room decontaminations may be prudent after construction, between animal studies, prior to maintenance, to resolve spills, after power failures or in response to the presence of bacteria or fungi found in air or surface samples.

CHLORINE DIOXIDE (Cl O2):

This decontamination gas is the cutting edge technology that was chosen to kill anthrax in the Hart Senate Building.  We are one of a very few firms with portable chlorine dioxide technology.
No residue
Non-carcinogenic
True gas
Electronics can be left in room
No neutralizer required
Short contact time

HYDROGEN PEROXIDE (H2O2):

The Halo Disinfection System produces a dry ionic mist that goes up, around, and under all exposed surfaces killing bacteria, viruses and fungi to include mold. The Halo Disinfection System is the only dry fogging system with an EPA registered, >6 log, 99.9999% kill on C-Diff spores. This method will not harm surfaces or substrates including stainless steel. The fogging by products are water and oxygen, and no post fog wiping is required. Up to 10,000 cubic foot areas can be disinfected in one session. Most rooms can be re-entered in less than two hours from start to finish.

No residue
Non-carcinogenic
Fewer employee complaints due to odor
Electronics can be left in room
No neutralizer required
Short contact time

PARAFORMALDEHYDE:

Most people are familiar with this decontamination method used by CDC and also described in NSF 49.   It usually requires neutralization with ammonium carbonate and may leave a slight residue.  However, this method is proven, effective, and NSF 49 approved.
